Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson comes from a family with a strong musical background. Her early years were spent listening to traditional music, old boleros and the traditional romantic and ranchero ballads. Ana enjoys tangos operas and other dramatic shows. At the age 16, she started singing and studying music with her mum. Flavio, a Mexican tenor of great renown began to give her more intense training in singing. The musical training continued with the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterward at the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. When she was a student, as well when she was a professional young within Mexico City and Guadalajara she was a member of several chamber ensembles and choruses. She sang in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to Southern California. She sings with Ensemble XXI Redlands, and performs Latin American traditional music solo for many private functions. Her passion for singing, music and the arts keep her involved in local activities in both her capacity as an artist and instructor. Ana has also been a former member of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana is hoping that, by sharing her knowledge songs from Latin American traditional songs, to instill a passion, particularly for the young generation, for keeping this music in the present.
